Hi, i’M sARAYA hARRIS.

Rooted in Milwaukee, I spend my days building tools that help people see — and solve — what’s happening in their communities. Through my work with Milwaukee County, I have launched impactful platforms like the COVID-19 Response Dashboard, Open Data Site, County Issue Reporter, and Harm Reduction Vending Machine App, each designed to make data accessible, transparent, and actionable. As a proud Black woman in tech, I strive to combine creativity, geospatial insight, and civic purpose to make technology more inclusive and community-centered.

As the founder of Cream City Carto, a Black woman–owned geospatial consulting studio based in our community, I work to transform complex data into maps and apps that drive real-world change. I believe geography is more than lines and layers — it’s how communities connect, heal, and grow.
